About This Course
Though hydraulic-operated equipment is used in all areas of construction, many workers are unaware of the associated hazards. Hydraulic related injuries include crushing, fractures, dislocations, lacerations, skin punctures, amputations, burns, and fluid injection. Not only has injury and death occurred, but hydraulic failures have also caused environmental damage through spills, as well as property and equipment loss from fire and mechanical failure.
This online Hydraulic Safety in Construction course contains over 800 visual learning aids including numerous videos, animations, procedures, and reference documents. The goal of this course is to provide important knowledge that will assist in reducing risk and eliminating hazards for workers, equipment, companies, and the environment. This course in combination with a full hydraulic safety program will greatly reduce risk.
This course complements the online Hydraulic Safety: Exposure Level and Hydraulic Safety: High Risk Maintenance Level courses.

- Pass Requirements
- Testing conducted throughout this online Hydraulic Safety in Construction course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved. Supplemental materials necessary to complete this course can be accessed online.

Is there a time limit for online courses?
Everyone learns at a different pace and everyone retains information differently. When you take a course online, you go at your own speed. If you get to a certain point and don’t fully understand the material, you can pause and go back for a review. On the other hand, if everything makes perfect sense, you can go straight through the entire course right to the test.
How does virtual proctoring/testing with webcam monitoring work?
When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
