Basic Incident Command System, I-200 is an awareness level course that introduces how the Incident Command System (ICS) is used to manage Single Resources and the management required for initial action incidents and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training.

About This Course
Basic ICS is intended for front line supervisors and responders who may be first on scene and need to effectively establish command and initiate elements of ICS. It is also intended for staff that may fill roles within larger organizations.
Basic Incident Command System, I-200 introduces how the Incident Command System (ICS) is used to manage Single Resources and the management required for initial action incidents and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training.
This course builds on I-100, going into more detail of the features and principles and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. Course participants will be better prepared to function as an initial Incident Commander.
At the successful completion of this course students will be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of managing single resources and establishing command using the Incident Command System. The target audience includes persons who may be first on the scene of an incident and be assigned to a supervisory position in a larger incident and ICS organization. The prerequisite for I-200 is successful completion of I-100.
Note: this course is intended as an awareness level course. The purpose of this course is to improve shared understanding and critical knowledge about ICS.

- Testing conducted in this online ICS 200 course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.

Is there a time limit for online courses?
Everyone learns at a different pace and everyone retains information differently. When you take a course online, you go at your own speed. If you get to a certain point and don’t fully understand the material, you can pause and go back for a review. On the other hand, if everything makes perfect sense, you can go straight through the entire course right to the test.
How does virtual proctoring/testing with webcam monitoring work?
When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
