Utility Vehicle (OSHA)
This is an OSHA-compliant safety training course intended for utility vehicle operators. Topics covered in this training include anatomy and inspection, safe operations, and hazards. This course meets the classroom requirement for occupational safety training. It also includes a proficiency checklist that employers can use to perform a practical evaluation. Upon completion, trainees will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card to show that they have completed Utility Vehicle training . NOTE: Only an employer can designate an employee as certified. Certification requirements can vary by state or province. Check local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.

About This Course
Our Utility Vehicle safety training course is OSHA compliant, and our online version fulfills OSHA’s classroom training requirement. Each class contains sections on equipment and anatomy, maintenance and inspections, safe operations and stability, common hazards, and more.
This presentation includes intermittent practice quiz questions to prepare for the final written exam included with the course. In addition to the written exam, this course also includes a checklist for employers to use when administering a practical exam as required by OSHA.
Estimated Training Length: Because everyone learns and progresses at different speeds, the amount of time you spend taking this training will vary. However, the estimated time for this training is 1-1.5 hours.

Though you will still need to familiarize yourself with all other applicable federal, state, and local standards, this training encompasses the following OSHA standards for utility vehicles:
- 29 CFR 1910.178 – Powered Industrial Trucks
- ANSI/ITSDF B56.8 – Safety Standard for Personnel and Burden Carriers
- NFPA 505 – Fire Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks
- UL 583 – Standard for Safety for Electric-Battery-Powered Industrial Trucks
- OSHA Act of 1970, 5(a)(1) – General Duty Clause

Is there a time limit for online courses?
Everyone learns at a different pace and everyone retains information differently. When you take a course online, you go at your own speed. If you get to a certain point and don’t fully understand the material, you can pause and go back for a review. On the other hand, if everything makes perfect sense, you can go straight through the entire course right to the test.
How does virtual proctoring/testing with webcam monitoring work?
When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
