Arc Flash Safety

An arc flash is an uncontrolled release of thermal energy that is due to or causes a dangerous situation. Though they can be fatal, arc flash consequences aren’t just the physical and mental hazards of workers at risk; employers may face hefty fines, legal action, and damage to their reputation should an arc flash incident occur. This course will teach learners the how to be arc flash aware, as well as the general Canadian legislative requirements pertaining to arc flashes, arc flash hazards, hazard identification, and risk assessment, PPE, arc flash severity and approach boundaries, and what to do in case of an emergency.
