About This Course

The purpose of this 3-part series is to help you work in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. Part 1 outlines environmental goals, the purpose of environmental management systems, environmental issues such as hazardous waste and storm water, and management practices when dealing with industrial waste.

Part 2 of a three-part course designed to promote working in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. This second part identifies EPA-regulated environmental issues concerning air emissions, stationary storage tank management, used oil and universal waste, and the best management practices for dealing with these issues.

Part 3 of a three-part course designed to promote working in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. This, the third part, outlines OSHA-regulated environmental issues, the elements of an Emergency Action Plan, major steps in spill and fire response, storage requirements for hazardous chemicals, and issues related to handling chemicals.

Ideal learners are anyone who must comply with environmental regulations on the job.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual. The manual is a valuable resource for future use and knowledge retention.

Is there a time limit for online courses?

Everyone learns at a different pace and everyone retains information differently. When you take a course online, you go at your own speed. How does virtual proctoring/testing with webcam monitoring work?

When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
