About This Course
This comprehensive online Logout Tagout in the Workplace course covers the steps to correctly lock and tag out equipment, devices used for lockout tagout, and the elimination of potentially fatal hazards through implementation of proper lockout tagout procedures. This course also covers the legal requirements surrounding the lockout of equipment, potential consequences of not following the procedure, and how to create and maintain a written workplace lockout tagout program.This course was developed in accordance with recommendations set forth in CSA standards Z462 – Workplace Electrical Safety and Z460-13 Control of Hazardous Energy - Lockout and Other Methods.

- Pass Requirements
- Knowledge testing is conducted throughout this course. Test questions are designed to reinforce the information presented and must be completed by each participant. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Each participant is allowed to repeat the course twice if the course pass mark has not been achieved on the first attempt.
- Certificate
- Participants who successfully pass the course will be able to print out a certificate of completion through the learning management system. A certificate is valid for 3 years from the course completion date. This course was created using standards that will allow playback on most internet capable devices with standard web browsing capabilities including Apple’s iTouch, iPad, and iPhone, as well as most other smart phones and tablets including those with Android and Windows operating systems.

Is there a time limit for online courses?
Everyone learns at a different pace and everyone retains information differently. When you take a course online, you go at your own speed. If you get to a certain point and don’t fully understand the material, you can pause and go back for a review. On the other hand, if everything makes perfect sense, you can go straight through the entire course right to the test.
How does virtual proctoring/testing with webcam monitoring work?
When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
