Haul Truck Safety (OSHA)

Haul trucks, also called rock trucks, are among the largest and most powerful machines on any worksite, moving hundreds of tons of rock, ore, and other material in a single load. Their sheer size brings long stopping distances, large blind areas, and the constant risk of tip-overs, runaways, and struck-by incidents that can turn fatal in seconds. Proper training is what stands between an operator and those outcomes, giving workers the knowledge and habits needed to run these machines safely. Learners will cover haul truck types and components, pre-operational inspections, safe driving, loading, dumping, and grade control, along with the major hazards of the job and the controls that reduce them.

When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
