About This Course
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 36,000 chainsaw injuries are treated in hospital emergency departments per year. As such, it's imperative that users respect how dangerous using a chainsaw can be, and take safety seriously. This quick and informative chainsaw course is specifically designed to give students to information they need to avoid an incident while working with chainsaws. Using animated infographics and interactive elements, the course provides students with a general overview of how to safely use and recognize a variety of chainsaws. Covered topics include a brief overview of all chainsaw types, chainsaw parts, and general information on how to safely operate a chainsaw.

- To pass this course, students must achieve a minimum grade of 80%. The course may be taken up to 3 times without a passing grade.

Is there a time limit for online courses?
Everyone learns at a different pace and everyone retains information differently. When you take a course online, you go at your own speed. If you get to a certain point and don’t fully understand the material, you can pause and go back for a review. On the other hand, if everything makes perfect sense, you can go straight through the entire course right to the test.
How does virtual proctoring/testing with webcam monitoring work?
When you start your test, you will be monitored via your webcam. If you disappear from the screen or appear to be consulting another device or other material, you will be disqualified from the course.
